Power the movement
JustSpeak is a people-powered movement that relies on the generosity of funders and supporters who share our vision for a safe, just and inclusive Aotearoa New Zealand. We don’t accept funding from the Government because it’s crucial that we remain a critical, impartial voice for change, regardless of who is in power.
Transforming the justice system takes a sustained effort, and with a strong collective behind us we’ve been making real progress since 2011. But there is much work to be done into the future.

Donating to the JustSpeak movement is a powerful way to help us build support for a compassionate and effective justice system. Due to a significant change in the funding landscape, we are dependent on individuals to support our work now more than ever.
While all donations are appreciated, regular commitments make a huge difference to our ability to strategise, organise and mobilise. Regular donations allow us to accurately forecast and ensure we have the resources we need to commit to any given campaign or project.

Volunteer
Volunteers have always been a key part of the JustSpeak movement. We are committed to channeling the skills and elevating the lived experience of our community for effective justice transformation.
There are two ways you can contribute to our work as a volunteer:
Practical skills that are relevant to our activities, which can include legal, policy research, copywriting, design, campaigning etc…
Sharing your lived experience of the criminal justice system, which is an important part of realising our vision. We honour the courage it takes to share personal stories, and we always do this in a safe and appropriate way.
We're currently in the process of updating our volunteer database and relaunching our volunteer programme. If you are interested in contributing your skills or experiences to JustSpeak, we'd love to hear from you.
