Bras Behind Bars

Bras behind bars was a campaign to collect pre-loved bras and personal hygiene products for women in New Zealand Prisons. We think women in prison should not have to go without these basic needs. 

Organised by JustSpeak volunteers, collection points for donations were established in Wellington, Auckland and Dunedin. These were then dropped off to prisons around the country. 

This campaign not only drew attention to the issue of challenges to access basic hygiene products but also made a real difference to the lives of women who are currently in prison.
